This simulation uses Snell's Law: \( n_1 \sin(\theta_1) = n_2 \sin(\theta_2) \) to calculate accurate light refraction. Higher refractive indices (n) cause more bending of light towards the normal. Try different materials to see the effects, including Total Internal Reflection (TIR)!

How to use the simulator:
Drag the laser pointer to change the angle of incidence. Select different materials (like air, water, glass, or diamond) for the top and bottom mediums to see how the refractive index affects the light path and triggers total internal reflection.

Understanding the Physics:
Snell’s Law (斯涅爾定律): The formula n1sin(θ1)=n2sin(θ2) describes the relationship between the angles of incidence and refraction. Light bends towards the normal when entering a denser medium.
Total Internal Reflection (全內反射): Occurs when light travels from a denser to a less dense medium and the angle of incidence exceeds the critical angle. The light is completely reflected back into the denser medium.
Refractive Index (折射率, n): A measure of how much light slows down in a material. A higher refractive index means the material is optically denser.
理解物理原理:
